29 Dec iPhone Life Magazine features Dash7
“Big Sound in a Small Package From Soundmatters”
If you just received a new iPad or iPhone for the holidays, congratulations. But you’ll probably notice that the sound from the built-in speakers isn’t that great. Apple’s emphasis on design and looks means that they put the speaker grill at the bottom of the device, facing down. It’s hardly optimal for quality sound. If sound matters to you, you should consider the Soundmatters line of speakers.
I had the opportunity to try their foxL DASH7 which lives up to the name Soundmatters. The sound from the pencil-box-sized speaker is great. If you’re “all about that bass”, you will appreciate that you can literally feel the bass when you hold the DASH7, and you can pair it with their optional foxLO subwoofer for even more bass! The speakers look and feel great, too, as Soundmatters uses a metal grill on the face and grippy materials on the bottom. There is a microphone as well, so the DASH7 can be used as a speakerphone.
Soundmatters thought of everything when it comes to charging the DASH7’s built-in 12-hour battery. You can use the microUSB port or the DC in port. They also include a wide variety of travel adapters for just about any country. A combination case/carrying stand is included which protects the speaker but can also be used to prop it up, similar to Apple’s SmartCover for the iPad. If you’re not a fan of basic black, they offer versions with red, white or silver accents. Soundmatters is running pre-New-Years specials so if you didn’t get everything you wanted this holiday season, there’s sill time!
